We converted two adjacent buildings in a quiet, suburban setting. One will become a studio, the other a residence.
The client wanted a modern building, so we replaced the design of the existing buildings with a contemporary, minimalist look. Both buildings have large glass-faced rooms facing east. These were designed with fixed louvre blinds. The character of the buildings is defined by the low pitch semi-pitch roof design and the glass facades with louvred shading. The environment is diverse, each building in the street has different stylistic features, so we thought that the different facade design would add colour to the streetscape.
